Al Ain City Municipality Implements Innovative Public Lighting System to Promote Sustainability

Al Ain City Municipality has implemented an innovative public lighting management system to digitally control road lighting networks, develop malfunction response capabilities and rationalise energy consumption, supporting sustainability in the emirate.

The public lighting management system aims to ensure that lighting intensity aligns with road usage rate, minimising light pollution, and supporting Abu Dhabi Dark Sky Policy objectives, while advancing sustainability efforts.

The entity is implementing a digital system through operation control systems that monitor networks, and detect and analyse malfunctions, saving consumption and supporting efforts to transform Al Ain into a smart city.
