In a continued push to strengthen agricultural efficiency and ensure the steady supply of key crops, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) conducted an extensive field inspection tour across several Emirati farms in the UAE.

The tour was led by His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of MOCCAE, along with senior ministry officials. The initiative focused on evaluating farm performance, assessing crop safety following recent weather conditions, and ensuring the seamless flow of fresh produce to markets nationwide.

During the visits, the team reviewed on-ground conditions and highlighted the resilience of local farms in adapting to environmental challenges. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to supporting farmers through technical guidance and advisory services, ensuring internal supply chains remain stable and efficient.

Engaging directly with Emirati farmers, Al Nuaimi listened to their concerns, ambitions, and operational challenges. Discussions centered on collaborative solutions to enhance productivity and improve the competitiveness of locally grown produce.

Emphasising the importance of farmers, Al Nuaimi described national farms as the “first line of defence” in maintaining market stability and food security. He reiterated that the ministry stands firmly alongside farmers to overcome challenges and build a more resilient agricultural sector.

He also highlighted the upcoming Emirates Agriculture Conference and Exhibition in Al Ain (April 22–26), held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The event will showcase the sector’s capabilities and reinforce efforts to transform farms into sustainable economic drivers.

MOCCAE confirmed that such field inspections are part of an ongoing strategy, with plans to expand visits to more farms, ports, and food security facilities across the UAE.

Through continuous technical support, innovation-driven initiatives, and smart farming solutions, the ministry aims to enhance productivity, improve quality standards, and strengthen the UAE’s long-term food security framework.
