Silal Launches App Promoting Agricultural Best Practices in Abu Dhabi

Silal has launched the Silal App, an all-inclusive digital platform that offers a pioneering user experience to farmers working in the emirate.

Silal App was launched in the presence of H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, during Silal’s participation in the first edition of Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE).

ADIFE was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA).

Available in Arabic, Urdu and English, the app offers an innovative one-stop digital platform that will empower farmers to streamline their farming operations and adopt data-driven technology, helping increase their efficiency and enhance the sustainability of their produce.

Key features include the ability to schedule live agricultural tasks, an extensive knowledge repository providing access to a relevant information library, and accurate weather alerts.

The app also offers agricultural guidance by interacting with specialized agricultural engineers and benefiting from production-related suggestions.

The app is available to download from the Apple Store and Google Play, and accessible to the broader community through its public version, where users can benefit from an array of beneficiary functions such as tips on best farming practices, and access to relevant articles and media library, among others.

The launch of the app is the latest in a series of initiatives by Silal to advance the agricultural sector through the adoption of technology at the farm level, and the introduction of scientific and modern farming practices.
