Last week in Riyadh, solution providers gathered together for the 2026 edition of IFAT Saudi Arabia, which firmly established itself as the Kingdom’s only event dedicated to waste, water and environmental technologies.

Bringing together thousands of industry leaders from across the full environmental value chain, it serves one of the world’s most ambitious sustainability markets.

The CEBC MENA announced the signing of an MoU between AERZEN at IFAT Saudi Arabia, establishing a strategic collaboration to advance sustainability and decarbonisation across the water, energy, and industrial sectors in the Middle East.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AERZEN and the Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC) MENA establishes a strategic framework for collaboration aimed at advancing sustainability, decarbonization, and innovation across the water, energy, and industrial sectors in the Middle East.

The agreement focuses on joint initiatives in thought leadership, knowledge sharing, capacity building, and industry engagement, while supporting both public and private sector efforts to modernize infrastructure and accelerate progress toward regional net-zero and climate action goals.

The MoU creates significant value by combining AERZEN’s global technology expertise and system-level solutions with CEBC’s regional network and policy engagement platform. This collaboration enables a stronger alignment between advanced technology deployment, industry needs, and sustainability strategies.

By working together, both organizations can amplify impact, foster cross-sector collaboration, and accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient and low-carbon solutions that address critical challenges such as the water-energy nexus, infrastructure resilience, and sustainable growth.

The development of joint thought leadership initiatives, including roundtables, white papers, podcasts, documentaries, and industry discussions focused on decarbonization and sustainable infrastructure.

Capacity building and skills development through training, knowledge exchange, and industry engagement activities.

Enhanced collaboration between technology providers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, supporting faster implementation of sustainable solutions.

Increased visibility and awareness of best-in-class technologies that enable energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and circular water management.

Strengthened public-private partnerships that contribute to long-term climate resilience, sustainable development, and net-zero ambitions across the region.

Through this MoU, AERZEN and CEBC aim to deliver measurable environmental and economic impact while supporting a more sustainable, innovative, and resilient future for the MENA region.
