Farnek Launches Emirates Carbon – UAE’s First Open-Access Carbon Management Platform

New digital platform empowers businesses, SMEs, and individuals to calculate, manage, and offset carbon emissions, supporting the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 ambitions

SME News Service

Farnek, the UAE-based smart and green facilities management (FM) company and a leading provider of carbon offset solutions, has unveiled Emirates Carbon, the country’s first open-access carbon management platform.

The platform allows users to calculate their carbon footprint and provides direct access to high-quality offset programmes, certified carbon credits, and International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-RECs).

Unlike complex enterprise systems, Emirates Carbon offers a simple and intuitive solution for individuals, SMEs, and events to track Scope 1 and 2 emissions, as well as travel- and event-related footprints.

Advanced Solutions for Larger Organisations

For larger businesses, Emirates Carbon integrates with CarbonTek, Farnek’s premium enterprise solution. CarbonTek tracks full Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions across operations and supply chains, offering advanced dashboards, analytics, and compliance reporting.

The platform also delivers expert-backed carbon neutral pathways, guided by ESG and sustainability professionals, with seamless access to third-party verification to ensure credibility and compliance.

“Emirates Carbon empowers organisations to understand, manage and reduce their carbon emissions,” said Muna Al Nahdi, Director of Sustainability & Consultancy, Farnek.

“In partnership with Farnek, business leaders can make informed decisions that benefit their companies and contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment.”

Supporting UAE’s Carbon Law and Net Zero Strategy

Emirates Carbon aligns with the UAE’s new Carbon Law and the upcoming national MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) framework, helping businesses comply while taking voluntary climate leadership steps.

Offsetting options cover internationally certified credits such as Verra and Gold Standard, with locally generated credits to be included once the UAE National Carbon Credit Registry becomes operational.

Driving Sustainability Across Industries

Farnek’s platform supports carbon-neutral events, travel, hotel stays, and operations across hundreds of facilities, organisations, and individuals throughout the UAE and the wider Middle East.

“The platform can improve the efficiency of emissions reporting by up to 30% and scales across industries such as real estate, hospitality, aviation, and finance,” said Al Nahdi.

“Emirates Carbon accelerates corporate Net Zero pathways while strengthening ESG performance and positioning the UAE as a regional hub for certified carbon markets and sustainability innovation.”
