The second annual ‘Dubai Investments Green Run’ — a 3km or 5km community run for the environment — saw the participation of over 2,600 UAE residents, promoting sustainability messages within the Green Village at Dubai Investments Park (DIP) on January 15, 2023.

Participants of all ages and abilities, including families, students, running enthusiasts, businesses and environmental advocates dedicated their chilly morning to the run-for-a-cause, after which there were also multiple environmentally friendly activities, entertainment, and free giveaways for all runners.

Cash prizes worth $816, $545 and $272 were presented to top finishers in each distance category, while community awards were handed to students of The Indian High School with the ‘Best Green Message’ and ekhtaar won as the organisation with the ‘Best Green Message’.

Launched last year, the annual event by Dubai Investments aims to support the Smart Dubai initiatives aligned with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai, towards promoting a green economy for sustainable development.
