Volvo Trucks has won the EV Manufacturer of the Year Award at the recent Sustainability Middle East Excellence Awards 2023, held in Dubai on March 9, 2023.

The award is an attempt to recognise the consistent efforts of automobile manufacturers who have been consistent in delivering top quality hybrid, electric and automated vehicles.

Volvo Trucks has made impressive strides in the production of fully electric trucks since 2019, having sold over 4,300 electric trucks across 38 countries worldwide.

The company has established itself as an industry leader by offering the broadest range of electric truck models, catering to an extensive range of transport needs within and between cities.

Speaking on the occasion, Björn Andersson, Managing Director, Volvo Trucks, Middle East and Turkey stated: “The biggest sustainability issue right now in our industry is the lack of support from government when it comes to incentives to really drive the development of sustainable transport solutions.

"We are ready as a manufacturer, but we are missing the collaboration together with the governments."
