Oman Ministry of Labour Launches Sustainable e-Platform for Disabled

Qadiroon, the first electronic platform for people with disabilities, has been launched during ‘Qadiroon’ forum held on Wednesday afternoon under the auspices of H.H Sayyid Fahr bin Fatik al Said and attended by representatives of the departments concerned.

The forum, organised by the Ministry of Labour in cooperation with Asas Muscat firm, discussed ways to establish sustainable projects that empower people with disabilities, notably in the field of entrepreneurship catering to their experience and abilities.

The platform hosts 100 sustainable projects and it aims at dedicating specialised outlets for shopping and direct electronic sale of all types of products of interest to people with disabilities.

The forum, organised by the Ministry of Labour in cooperation with Asas Muscat firm, discussed ways to establish sustainable projects that empower people with disabilities, notably in the field of entrepreneurship catering to their experience and abilities.

During the forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between Asas and Ishraqa Institute (a Khimji Ramdas wing for social development). The agreement provides for training and rehabilitation programmes to empower the disabled.
