MOEI & AASTMT Discuss Sustainability of Ports, Tackling Oil Pollution

Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure is exploring a cooperation framework with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in the fields of scientific research and development for the maritime sector.

In a meeting held in Dubai, the two entities discussed vital issues like use of artificial intelligence to tackle oil pollution, sustainability of ports and blue economy, maritime financing and consolidating bilateral cooperation.

Several sectors such as maritime transport development, ports and logistics services, training development in maritime electronic capacity, and cyber maritime security were thoroughly discussed at the meeting.
