Petrofac Partners with OHC to Boost Oman’s Hydrogen Sector

Petrofac will provide technical expertise and build capacity through knowledge transfer

UK-based Petrofac has signed a memorandum of understanding with Oman Hydrogen Center to boost the Gulf country’s renewable sector, particularly in green hydrogen.

Through the MoU, the OHC, established by the German University of Technology in Oman, will achieve its goal of a more sustainable and renewable energy-focused Oman.

The centre provides an international hub for research, technology, education, industry applications and economy, aligned with Oman Vision 2040.

Petrofac will provide technical expertise, leveraging its experience in designing, managing and executing complex projects and building capacity through knowledge transfer.

Dr Khalid Al Jahwari, Petrofac’s country manager in Oman, said, “Our partnership with OHC is designed to meet the needs of new complex energy assets, with the focus on engineering excellence and an ever-more skilled workforce.”
