Centena Group, a regional leader in science, engineering, education, and technology solutions, has been awarded the Dubai Chamber of Commerce ESG Label with a record-high 83% score in environmental performance, highlighting its strong commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible resource management.

Strong ESG Performance and Opportunities Ahead

The Dubai Chamber assessment placed Centena Group among the top ESG performers in the region:

  • 83% in environmental performance – reflecting its achievements in carbon reduction, conservation practices, and energy efficiency.

  • 71% in preparedness and awareness – highlighting its proactive approach to sustainability while identifying areas for greater impact.

Key achievements included:

  • Cutting carbon footprint through energy and water conservation measures.

  • Implementing hazardous and e-waste segregation.

  • Setting quarterly reduction targets for energy and water consumption.

Areas of opportunity outlined in the assessment include optimising transport to reduce emissions, investing in carbon offset initiatives like tree planting and renewable energy, and expanding waste management strategies to include office and food waste.

Commenting on the recognition, Sanjay Raghunath, Chairman and Managing Director of Centena Group, said:
