Dubai Humanitarian Delivers Critical WHO Medical Aid to Gaza Under Mohammed bin Rashid’s Directives
Acting under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Humanitarian has dispatched a vital shipment of medical aid to Gaza, reinforcing the UAE’s continued commitment to global humanitarian efforts.
The relief operation, facilitated through the Global Humanitarian Impact Fund (GHIF), includes 22.3 metric tonnes of essential medical supplies provided by the World Health Organization (WHO). Transported via a three-truck overland convoy, the shipment is expected to support the urgent healthcare needs of around 110,000 people in Gaza.
Despite ongoing pressures on global supply chains, Dubai Humanitarian continues to operate at full capacity, ensuring the timely delivery of life-saving aid to crisis-affected regions. The latest mission highlights the organisation’s ability to navigate complex logistics environments and sustain critical supply routes.
Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, emphasised the importance of coordinated global action. He noted that the organisation is working closely with partners to ensure assistance reaches those in need without delay, even amid growing logistical challenges. Through GHIF, Dubai Humanitarian is streamlining aid delivery across difficult terrains, ensuring efficiency and impact.
Since the start of the year, humanitarian organisations based at Dubai Humanitarian have delivered assistance to more than 40 countries. Backed by strong collaboration with government entities, international agencies, and commercial partners, the hub continues to play a pivotal role in mobilising resources and strengthening global humanitarian supply chains.
The latest dispatch to Gaza underscores Dubai’s strategic role as a global humanitarian centre—delivering timely, large-scale aid where it is needed most.
