Jewar App Completes a Year of Empowering Communities in the Red Sea Region

Red Sea Global, the developer behind the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism projects, celebrated the first anniversary of the “Jewar” App.

Designed specifically to enhance local community participation in destination development, serving as a vital link between RSG and residents whilst fostering sustainable opportunities and engagement which has helped in hiring hundreds of locals.

Jewar app allows users to access real-time information on job opportunities, educational programs, cultural events, and project updates.

By fostering ongoing interactions and encouraging constructive feedback, the app ensures that the perspectives of residents are integral to shaping the future of the region.

Ahmed Darwish, Chief Administrative Officer and Official Spokesperson of Red Sea Global said: "The Jewar App has successfully connected hundreds of residents with employment opportunities at RSG and its partners, significantly contributing to the region's economic growth.

"Jewar is more than just an app; it represents our commitment to community empowerment and sustainable progress. We have created a platform that not only bridges gaps between Red Sea Global and the local populace but also celebrates and preserves the rich cultural heritage of The Red Sea."

The platform has also created a network for small business owners, connecting them with opportunities and resources to thrive within the growing tourism sector.

Also, Through Jewar's "Montej" initiative, app has uplifted more than 145 businesswomen across Umluj, Al Wajh, Al Ayi, and Duba, showcasing inspiring success stories that highlight their entrepreneurial spirit.

The initiative aimed to develop the work of productive families in the field of food and beverages and contribute to raising their awareness, which helps in the development and sustainability of their projects.

Jewar also played a pivotal role in organizing the "Red Sea Sailboat Race," a significant initiative to celebrate and preserve Saudi Arabia's maritime heritage, honoring a cherished cultural legacy.

Red Sea Global has revived 13 traditional sailing boats in collaboration with local communities in earlier this year with the race held in October at The Red Sea coast.

The impact of Jewar extends beyond the local community, earning recognition as the Best Community Engagement Program in the Middle East at the 2024 Travel and Tourism Awards (TDM).

This accolade underscores Red Sea Global’s dedication to empowering local voicesToday, RSG celebrates the positive impact that ‘Jewar’ brings to the region, embodying its efforts to enhance community development, evoke passions, celebrate culture, and preserve The Red Sea coast’s rich cultural heritage.

Last year, The Red Sea welcomed its first guests, with four of its hotels now open and Desert Rock expecting its first guests later this month.

RSI has been receiving a regular schedule of domestic flights since September 2023 and international flights began in April 2024, with a twice-weekly route between

The Red Sea and Dubai International. The airport is strategically located, situated within three hours flying time of 250 million people and eight hours flying time for 85% of the world’s population.
