In 2010, the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan was set up, and in 2012, this plan was established for the Middle East. At Unilever, there are people in different departments who manage their plans and deliver the social impact, said Priya Sarma, Head of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability, Unilever, Middle-East.
Speaking at the Sustainability Middle East conference in Dubai, Ms Sarma said that her role at Unilever involves the advocacy and partnership fronts.
"What I really started doing was looking at what are the requirements from the perspective of different countries and what is it we can bring to the table, given our expertise and focus," she stated.
