DEWA’s Innovation Centre Launches Second Batch of Cleantech Youth Program

The programme comprises training workshops, specialist education sessions, and field visits to accredited institutions

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)’s Innovation Centre has launched the second batch of the Cleantech Youth Programme.

The programme aims to prepare qualified young professionals and experts in different sectors, and deepen their knowledge in clean and renewable energy and entrepreneurship.

The initiative comprehends a wide range of training workshops, specialist education sessions, and field visits to accredited institutions with the participation of academics, specialists and experts from several schools, universities, start-ups, and local and global organisations.

The second batch of the programme sees the participation of 25 from graduates or those pursuing university degrees in 15 different majors at 13 accredited academic institutions in the UAE.

The initiative is in line with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy to provide 100% of Dubai’s total power capacity from clean energy sources by 2050 to speed up the sustainability and power transformation process.
