Clean energy, telemedicine, tele-education, fin-tech, and agri-tech sectors are undergoing major changes fostered by technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Augmented Reality, noted Social Innovator and thought leader, Sir Ronald Cohen.

In an exclusive interview with Sustainability Middle East, Sir Cohen said that technology is going to revolutionise the ways in which we deliver impacts pertaining to sustainability.

Technology is transforming the 'impact' that companies create through their - operations, employment practices, and supply chains, on people and the environment.

Sir Cohen said that we are living in a world, which is undergoing a major transition, and the Middle East, is not spared from the challenges this transition creates.

He added: "It has an opportunity by using new technologies, funding research and development and entrepreneurial ventures that are seeking to address the world's great challenges.

The Middle East region he said has to look to a world beyond fossil fuels. "As it does so, entrepreneurship and technology provide an avenue for using its considerable capital to create economies that can be sustainable beyond fossil fuels."
